Roxanne Clarke is the current captain of South Africa’s Billie Jean King Cup team. A former Fed Cup player, she competed internationally before moving to the United States to play collegiate tennis. After returning to South Africa, she coached multiple national junior teams and earned advanced high-performance coaching credentials. In 2018, she was appointed Director and Head Coach of the ITF Pacific Oceania Training Centre, where she led players from 21 island nations. Now based in Cape Town, she brings international experience and a deep passion for player development to South African tennis.
I believe in creating clear, supportive pathways for players to grow and compete at the highest level. With the right coaching, structure, and opportunities, we can help more players succeed — especially young women. My focus is on long-term development, retention, and building the support systems that athletes need to thrive.
